Just got a letter today informing me that my latest published book "Small Fry" which was published in Nov. of 2008 is going out of print. Now books go out of print all the time (especially picture books) but what makes this particularly hard to swallow is the fact that this book took about 8 years to get published and will get only one year of life. I could rail and rail against the machine but what good would that do? Suffice it to say if people don't know a book exists then they won't know to buy it. I'm not going to argue the merits of my work, because I believe it speaks for itself. I would just like to say that it saddens me to know that so many young children will not get a chance to read it, enjoy the wonderful illustrations created by Mike Reed and be encouraged to love life and yourself no matter what size you come in!!

Small Fry was dedicated to my own small fry Anaya Grace. At least it stayed in print long enough for her to see it. Although just barely as she is just 2 years old!

I'll leave you and me with a line from a "pretty good" book that I think you've probably heard of.
